Odoo Opens an office in Queensland

Odoo opens an office in Queensland as it targets more small business clients with its ERP to general counsel program

Odoo, a leading enterprise resource planning company, has announced the opening of its first office in Australia, offering to help small and medium-sized enterprises improve their digital skills and take advantage of Queensland's expanding tech environment.
The Belgian business, which has more than 10 million members globally and is valued at US$3.2 billion ($4.5 billion), announced on Tuesday that it intended to open an office just for the Gold Coast.
The business is already established in Australia, where it provides services including accounting systems that are in compliance with local laws.
However, the company asserted that its local operations would increase the exposure of its open-source software suite to Australian businesses. This software suite addresses business needs ranging from CRM and automated marketing campaigns to inventory management, e-commerce solutions, and human resource requirements.

By doing this, Odoo will compete with established ERM giants like Netsuite and Salesforce as well as smaller niche platforms like Mailchimp and MYOB.
Odoo claims it is focused on the smaller end of the spectrum and assisting independent enterprises expand their digital capabilities, in contrast to many ERP vendors who serve global corporations.
The company stated that its "mission" is to enable SMEs in their transition to digitalization and enhance their daily operations.
Odoo anticipates starting domestic operations this month and wants to boost its local ranks by hiring at least 20 local employees.
According to office director Kelian Buitendijk, the company chose the Gold Coast as the location for its operations because it wants to integrate with the area's beachy culture.

We want to give our staff members an environment where they can mix work, professional development, and the best aspects of Australian culture, he said.

"Our office branch will replicate the same amazing company culture we have in Belgium: encouraging flexibility, responsibilities, autonomy, and a work hard, play hard mindset."

Odoo would have access to top-tier graduate talent thanks to its proximity to institutions, the company said.
